Regional railway traffic in Westphalia-Lippe

The nph is a member of the Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe (NWL). This association consists of five Westphalian regional rail transport associations. The NWL is responsible for the ordering and funding of rail transport services.

With the ratification of the new local public transport act in 2008 the nph became a member of the NWL. Within the NWL the nph is assigned to tasks like management of timetable data and NRW-Tarif/Distribution.

Apart from the nph other members of the NWL are the ZRL, ZVM, VVOWL and the ZWS.

The five members of the NWL and the areas they cover:

nph: districts of Höxter and Paderborn.

ZRL: Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkische Kreis, districts of Unna and Soest and the city of Hamm.

ZVM: Districts of Borken, Coesfeld, Steinfurt and Warendorf as well as the city of Münster.

VVOWL: Districts of Gütersloh, Herford, Lippe, Minden-Lübbecke and the city of Bielefeld.

ZWS: Districts of Olpe and Siegen-Wittgenstein.
