Buying tickets

There are several places where you can purchase your tickets from: the bus driver, at the station ticket office (called KundenCenter), at DeutscheBahn-Agenturen, at ‘self-service’ ticket machines available at many stations; selected tickets of the NRW-Tarif are even available for online purchase. On some of the rail services which are not run by Deutsche Bahn, you can even buy your ticket on board of the train.

From the bus drivers, you can purchase single, return and day tickets as well as tickets that are valid for multiple journeys. In the case of the latter, the driver will validate your ticket for you when you buy it. Please remember to validate this ticket on all subsequent journeys either with your driver or at the validating machines provided.
